David Langenfeld is Partner at Key Trial Lawyers. As a Texas trial lawyer, David has been fighting for the rights of individuals and small businesses since becoming licensed to practice law in 1992. During that time, he has successfully represented clients in cases involving personal injury, unpaid overtime wages, wrongful employment termination, contract disputes, and other legal matters. Although most cases result in settlement, David understands that the best settlements are achieved when the lawyer has skillfully prepared the case for trial. That’s why David only accepts cases he’s willing to take to trial and prepares every case as though it is going to trial. If the other side wants to discuss settlement, he will listen. But otherwise, David will stand ready, willing, and able to fight for his clients in the courtroom.
Prior to shifting his practice to the civil law arena, David Langenfeld was a successful criminal defense attorney. This has provided him with a tremendous amount of actual courtroom experience. He has won not-guilty jury verdicts for clients charged with crimes ranging from DWI to Murder. As a criminal defense attorney, David developed an aggressive style and gained trial experience that he now brings to his civil trial practice.
Board Certification
Board Certified, Labor and Employment Law, Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Of the more than 90,000 attorneys in Texas, less than 10% are Board Certified in any area of the law. Less than 1% are Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law. Board Certification is a mark of excellence and a distinguished accomplishment. To become Board Certified, the attorney must demonstrate to the Board substantial experience in his area of the law and go through a vigorous background investigation where the Board contacts lawyers and Judges familiar with the attorney’s character and qualifications. The attorney must then pass a lengthy and difficult written examination. Board Certified lawyers earn the right to publicly represent themselves as a specialist in a select rea of the law. In fact, they are the only attorneys allowed by the State Bar of Texas to do so.
